SOFTWARE

ANUDEM v 5.2

ANUDEM calculates values on a regular grid of a discretized smooth surface fitted to large numbers of irregularly spaced elevation data points, contour line data and stream line data.

ANUSPLIN

The ANUSPLIN package contains FORTRAN programs for fitting surfaces to noisy data as functions of one or more independent variables.

ANUCLIM

ANUCLIM is a software package containing a suite of programs that enable the user to obtain estimates of mean monthly climate variables, bioclimatic
parameters, and indices relating to crop growth.

CLIMATE SURFACES

Monthly mean climate surfaces for Australia, by Michael F Hutchinson and Jennifer L Kesteven

GROWEST

A FORTRAN 90 program that calculates monthly and weekly plant growth indices, in point or grid form, from input climate data consisting of any combination of monthly averages, actual monthly values and actual weekly values.

DATASETS

AUSDEM

The Australian Digital Elevation Model (DEM) has been developed using the CRES package ANUDEM. It is available at a continental scale at two spatial resolutions - 1/20th degree and 1/40th degree. The DEM is also available at a finer resolution (1/60th degree or 1 minute) for individual states.

Africa

A topographic and climate database for Africa has been developed by the Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies (CRES) using the software.
