After attaining a BA in English Literature and Psychology and working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra and Washington DC, Caroline completed a Graduate Diploma in Science with Distinction and Master of Philosophy in Ecology, Evolution and Systematics at the ANU School of Botany and Zoology. In 2007 she completed a PhD in Resource Management and Environmental Science at the ANU Centre for Resource and Environmental Studies, studying the breeding biology and behaviour of the grey-crowned babbler, a declining woodland bird.

Professional Activities

Caroline’s research interests lie primarily in the behavioural ecology of vertebrates and the implications of animal behaviour and biology for species conservation.
